FACTORY is building a pocket park in the immediate vicinity of the outlet, located in Luboń near Poznań. A unique green zone is being created there on 2,000 square metres, rich in diverse, local vegetation and small architecture. The opening is scheduled for mid-summer this year.

The FACTORY pocket park is intended to be a place of relaxation for both customers and employees of the entire shopping area, as well as the residents of Lubonia and the surrounding area. Until now, it has been a well-kept green area, with neatly trimmed grass surrounded by shrubs. Now, green architects have taken on the task of designing the park and making it.

"This new place will combine two functions. On the one hand, it will significantly enrich the local ecosystem, as we have planned all the planting. On the other, it will provide a unique relaxation zone. We will plant native vegetation, as required by the ecological reports, trees with the crown size required by the auditors, and we will take care of the soil drainage. Our green area will become an insect habitat. In addition, it will be equipped with a gazebo providing shelter from rain and sun for park users and benches. It's a perfect place for a break at work, relaxation after a successful shopping spree or a coffee break for cyclists," enumerates the advantages of the new place, Aleksandra Grychowska, director of FACTORY Poznań at NEINVER, the manager of FACTORY outlets in Poland.

The potential of the new location will also be used for special marketing events and local activities for residents.
Work on the creation of the pocket park started in the first week of April, and are scheduled to be completed by mid-summer. Birch, apple, lime, maple and cherry trees will be planted among the trees. Among the shrubs to be planted there are alpine currant, plum, elderberry, coral calla, dogwood, common dogwood, purple willow,
or common hazel. Three types of grasses and numerous perennials will also be sown, such as catnip, sage, garlic, yarrow and peach bellflower. There will also be a bed of runes: periwinkle and common ivy, fennel, honeysuckle or hollyhock.
